I used a piece of junk mail today, making it the base of my “pouch card” for this fun project! It turns out SO CUTE once it’s finished, I just know you’re going to love this inspiration!
We all get SO much junk mail, don’t we? Just choose one of the pieces you receive that is a fold-out style, and go to town! Today, I used the adorable Otterly Adorable product suite, and had fun with all of the different paper prints, die cuts, and stamps. I went to town, and had fun with it!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this project. It is so easy and fun!
First, I unfolded my piece of junk mail, and trimmed off an extra portion that I didn’t need. Next, I measured each section, and cut pieces of the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper (DSP) for each section. I adhered them with Stampin’ Seal adhesive. Finally, I sealed closed the inner portion, so that it would create a pouch, and the card base was finished!
Depending on which piece of junk mail you use, your measurements will be completely different than mine. So, I am not including measurements here.

To decorate my pouch, I die cut out a shape from the Country Corners die set, using Basic White cardstock. I stamped the otters onto it, using Black Memento ink, and colored them in using my alcohol-based Stampin’ Blends markers (Pecan Pie, Ivory, Mossy Meadow).
I layered everything up on the front of the pouch, starting with a strip of the Gold Open Weave Ribbon for a fun little accent piece. I also used a little bit of the Pretty Peacock & Gold ribbon, and stapled it down. I added a few die cut leaves, from the die set, from Pretty Peacock cardstock. And finally, I added a few of the gorgeous Riverside Irregular Pearls to finish it off.

I created an insert for the pouch, using Pretty Peacock cardstock, and layered a piece of Basic White cardstock onto it. I stamped the sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink, and then added a few otters that were die cut directly out of the DSP. I stamped the bubbles with Balmy Blue ink, and the fish with Calypso Coral ink.

Well, what do you think?? Will you rescue some of your junk mail and have some fun? I sure hope so! I’m going to link HERE another project I made using some junk mail, to give you even more inspiration!
