I love using the beautiful Embossing Folders from Stampin’ Up!, because they can be used as the entire background of my card. They give so much texture and depth to the card front, which I love. On this card, I used the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder, and look how beautiful the background turned out! I love how it has both Christmas sentiments, as well as Christmas images, to create a darling layout.
To make this card, I used a standard card size from Basic White cardstock (5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, folded in half). On top of this, I layered a piece of Real Red cardstock, which I had embossed with the Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder. This piece measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. I layered this on using Stampin’ Dimensionals, to give it even more dimension!

The “banner” piece on the card is die cut out using the Stylish Shapes dies, from the More Dazzle Designer Series Paper. Oh, how I love this sparkly paper! It has so much dazzle, to be sure! I layered this banner piece directly onto my card front, using Liquid Glue.
The focal point of the card was created using one of the square dies, also from the Stylish Shapes die set. I cut this out of Basic White cardstock. The wreath is 2 of the wreath dies from the Cottage Wreaths die set, layered on top of each other to give it more depth. They are cut out in Shaded Spruce cardstock.
As you can see, I die cut out a bow from the die set, but then I also layered a real bow on top, using the 2022-24 In Color Baker’s Twine Pack. This really gave the bow more interest, since it was layered. I love the striped Baker’s twine here, because it looks like a candy cane!
The sentiment was stamped using Shaded Spruce ink, and then cut out by hand since it is so small. I layered this on using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The final touch was adding several clusters of gold pearls from the Festive Pearls pack. Instead of the traditional red berries, these gold pearls gave a “glam” touch to the wreath.
I love making cards that are simple, yet WOW. I hope you love this one!
