Let’s have some fun with DIES!! I use my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine, along with dies from Stampin’ Up!, almost EVERY single time I craft. Dies add such an awesome element to crafting, I just can’t live without them!
Today’s Christmas card uses the Spotlight on Nature die set, which is amazing. It is a ton of circle dies, which have all different edging on them. The selection is awesome! And there are all different sizes, as well. Check them out!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s so easy, yet so fun!
I started out with a Lemon Lime Twist card base, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. Layered on top of this is a piece of Garden Green cardstock, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.
Next, I die cut out a pile of the smallest circle die in the Spotlight on Nature die set, and I love the accented edge on this circle! It’s such a fun touch! I die cut them out of Real Red cardstock, and glued them all over the Garden Green layer, using Liquid Glue. I trimmed the edges of the Garden Green, as well.
The sentiment is from the Greetings for the Season stamp set, and I stamped this onto Basic Black cardstock, using Versamark ink. I heat embossed the sentiment with the White WOW Embossing Powder, and heat set it with the heat tool. I bannered the left-hand edge of the strip, and layered this onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The final touch was sprinkling on a few of the White Loose Snowflakes, which I adhered with tiny dots of Liquid Glue. It gave a festive, finishing touch!
Think of all of the color combinations you could do with this layout! Christmas, birthday, Spring, Autumn. The possibilities are endless!
