Silly Old Bear Book Fold Card

I LOVE the new Winnie the Pooh mega suite by Stampin’ Up! It is ADORABLE!!! And this project is such a fun one, using the entire suite, as well as the paper pack, to make this amazing fun fold card. I designed this for the last episode of The Great North American Stampin’ Show that aired today, Season 8, Episode 8, before we take a break for a couple of weeks!

I started with an Early Espresso card base, measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I layered onto that a piece of the Silly Old Bear Designer Series Paper (DSP) that measures 5-1/4″ x 12″. This piece is scored, on the 12″ side, at 1″, 4″, 6″, and 8″. I folded this into an accordion style, and if you watch the video, you can see where I also glued a couple of the folds together so that it opens more like a book.

I die cut out lots of the Sweet Words & Labels dies from Very Vanilla and Golden Glow cardstocks, as well as directly from the DSP. I embossed some of them with the Hundred Acre Woods Embossing Folder, and made them look more “vintage” by using a Blending Brush and my Crumb Cake ink pad.

I stamped all of the sentiments, as well as the little honey bees, with Early Espresso ink, and I also colored in the honey in the honeypot with a Golden Glow Shimmer Brush. I LOVE the shimmer in these brushes!!!
