The cute polar bears from the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP) are absolutely perfect for cutting out and adding to your cards! I’m glad this paper is still in stock, because it’s so cute and I need to keep creating more cards for the Winter season.
Today I made a simple card layout using a few strips of paper, and as I was making it, I got to thinking about how many different ways you could make this same layout. Using different papers, it could be an amazing springtime card, or even a Valentine version. I’m going to have to experiment with this more!
Anyway, let’s get to today’s card! This card features the Beary Cute stamp set, and I used the snowflake image, as well as one of the sentiments. First, I stamped the snowflake with Balmy Blue ink all over a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, using the “stamping off” technique. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. You can see exactly how to do this technique!
Next, the sentiment is stamped with full-strength ink, using the Night of Navy ink pad.
Layered onto this piece of cardstock are 3 strips of DSP, measuring 3/4″ x 4″. I chose coordinating paper colors, so that they would look good together in the background.
Next, I chose a few of the cute polar bear images from the DSP, and cut them out by hand. There are so many cute animals in this pack, any of them would have been perfect for this card! I layered the 2 polar bears onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Lastly, I added a few embellishments: the 2022-24 In Color Baker’s Twine, and the Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs (one of my current favorites! I’m glad they’re not retiring!). I made a little bow for the polar bear’s neck, and added it with a Mini Glue Dot. I sprinkled on a few of the discs, and the card is finished!
I hope you enjoyed this simple layout. It’s a good one–I hope you’ll give it a try! PLEASE CLICK HERE to check out another card I made with this same paper!
