Did you see the adorable Snowman treat box I made a few days ago? He turned out so cute that I thought I’d have to try making a Santa box, as well. And, he turned out amazingly CUTE!
The Cracker & Treat Box Dies make the easiest and cutest little treat holders. This particular box would hold approximately 4-5 Hershey Kisses or Rolo’s, which is perfect for a little “thinking of you” or “Merry Christmas” for a co-worker or neighbor, don’t you think?
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the detailed video where I made this project. It really helps to see exactly where I cut the paper when I die cut the two different parts of the box.
For Santa’s face, I used Petal Pink cardstock. I basically cut the main/middle portion of the die, plus half of one of the ends. You want to create tabs to be able to fold in to make the bottom of your “box” (which is Santa’s face).
Next, I stamped on the little winky face from the Taco Fiesta stamp set, using Black Memento ink. I figured that Santa is famous for laughing, and his eyes twinkling…so a winky face would be perfect!
I used the Trucking Along Builder Punch to punch out one of the wheels/tires for his nose. I punched this out of the Petal Pink cardstock, as well.
I punched out a cloud from Basic White cardstock, using the Cloud Punch, and then trimmed it down to resemble a beard. You could just do this by hand, but since I have the Cloud Punch handy, I thought it worked perfectly.
After adhering his beard onto the bottom portion of the box, I added his nose on top…it is adorable!!
To make the hat, I die cut out another portion of the die using Real Red cardstock. Watching the video will help you see exactly where to cut the paper. You only need one portion of the die to create the hat. I cinched it up using our beautiful White Iridescent Ribbon, which I love (and it is retiring–boo hoo!!). I also used the same ribbon, and put Stampin’ Seal directly onto the ribbon so that I could wrap it around the base of his hat. Doesn’t it look great?
I hope you loved this project! PLEASE CLICK HERE to jump over to see the adorable Snowman Box I made the other day!
