Have you ever made a paper angel? I probably did as a child, but I don’t remember it! They are a perfect, cute little project to make for a Christmas tree ornament, a gift topper, or a garland! It’s also a perfect craft to make with your child or grandchild, so I definitely hope you give it a try.
The angels I made used absolutely zero measurements. I just “went for it!” It’s a craft that’s easy and fun, so you definitely don’t want to over analyze it or make it difficult. Just roll with it and have fun!
I used the Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP) by Stampin’ Up! for this project, which I wanted to use because I *LOVE* the gold foil in the paper. I thought it would add the perfect amount of shimmer and shine to these angels.
I started out with two 5″ squares of the DSP, and started folding one like an accordion until it was all folded. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this project, so you can see exactly how to make it!
Next, I accordion-folded the second square, but after I was finished, I cut it in half to create two wings. Using my hot glue gun (I love the precise tip of the one I have from Amazon–CLICK HERE to go to my Amazon affiliate shop to find it!), I adhered the wings to the body, as well as gluing together the tops of the body & wings so that they flare out.
Finally, I added a large wooden bead for the head, tying it on with some gold cording that I had in my stash. I tied a bow on top using the Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon, which I glued down with a tiny dot of hot glue, and voila! My angel was finished!
Give this project a try. It’s fun and easy!
