I used pages 52-53 from Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Catalog as my inspiration for today’s creation! I love how the catalog is FULL of gorgeous samples that can be used to copy directly, or just use as inspiration. There is a card pictured on page 53 that is a floral wreath, and that’s the card I used to inspire my project today.
I used the Impressions Abloom stamp set, dies, and coordinating Floral in Bloom Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make this card. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s so beautiful once you pull it all together!

I started out with a basic card base with Basic White cardstock, measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and folded in half. Next, I pulled out the oval die from the die set, and die cut out a “window” from the card front. I filled it in with a piece of the DSP, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″, adhered to the inside of the card. I heat embossed the sentiment with my White WOW Embossing Powder, and started to create my wreath!

I die cut lots of different flowers, in several different colors, and had fun creating my wreath. The colored cardstocks I used are: Lemon Lolly, Fresh Freesia, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, and Granny Apple Green for the greenery. Some of the flowers are glued directly to the card front, and others are adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This gives the wreath lots of height and texture.
The finishing touch was adding the gems to the centers of some of the flowers. These particular gems are nice and flat, so they add no bulkiness to the card for mailing.

I stamped the inside sentiment using Fresh Freesia ink, and the card was finished! I hope you love this inspiration!
