I have a quick and easy card layout for you today, using several strips of paper as the background of the card! It’s such an easy way to add color and pizazz to your card front, without putting in much effort. I love it!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. I used a cool technique where you use Glad Press & Seal to help keep the paper strips in place, while you add your adhesive and stick them to your card It’s sooooo cool!
My card base is a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded in half. Layered on top of that is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Finally, layered on top of that is a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 3-3/4″ x 4-7/8″.
Next, I added 5 strips of the Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up!, and these strips each measure 3/4″ x 3″. I arranged them perfectly centered on the piece of Basic White cardstock, and adhered them down using Liquid Glue.

Finally, I die cut out several hearts from the Hearts of Elegance die set. I LOVE the hearts in this set! I die cut one out of Gold Foil, one out of Melon Mambo, and one out of Basic White. On the white one, I stamped the sentiment from the matching stamp set, using Melon Mambo ink.

The card is embellished with a knot of the Gold Open Weave Ribbon, and some of the super-sparkly Sparkle Gems (some of my most sparkly favorites!). I love how it turned out!
You’ve got to grab one of the packs of this DSP…it is truly so gorgeous, you’re going to fall in LOVE!
