I love little animal images, no matter what they are. And the Zany Zoo stamp set and coordinating Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper (DSP) is FULL of them! This paper has the cutest images, and they’re already colored in for you–you don’t even have to stamp! I did use the stamp set for the sentiment, but other than that, the DSP holds center stage for this cute and quick card design.
“Quick and cute” are my favorite kinds of card layouts. If you know me at all, you’ll know that description fits my style to a “T.” I like layouts that catch the eye, but ones that don’t take a lot of time to create. And this layout is PERFECT for “quick” and “cute!”
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. You’ll see exactly how easy it was to make! I started off with a 4-1/4″ x 11″ piece of Basic White cardstock, folded in half, for the card base. Then, I layered on 4 different pieces of 1″ x 4-1/4″ strips of the Zoo Crew DSP. I love how one side of the DSP has colored animal images, and the other side is full of cute black and white prints! I arranged them so that they looked appealing to the eye, and then I adhered them directly onto the card base using Liquid Glue.
Next, I pulled out my Nested Essentials dies, which are, of course “essential!” I love how this die set has 3 different die shapes, and then several graduating sizes of each shape so that you can layer them on top of one another. I die cut out 3 different layering rectangles from Basic Black cardstock, Pool Party cardstock, and the Zoo Crew DSP (the cute little dog image). I glued these together using Liquid Glue.
Finally, stamped the sentiment from the Zany Zoo stamp set onto a little bannered piece, cut out from Basic White cardstock. This little die is from the Zany Zoo dies, which coordinate with the stamp set. I stamped using the Black Memento ink pad, and then tucked it underneath the little dog image, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The finishing touch was a quick knot made from the Pool Party 3/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon, which I attached with a Mini Glue Dot. And that’s it! How easy was that?? You could easily use all different kinds of papers here, and it would completely change up the look and feel of the card immediately. There is so much versatility with this layout! I hope you’ll give it a try!
