I love dies…all different shapes and sizes! I love the ones that cut out stamped shapes, I love the ones that cut out additional shapes that we don’t have stamps for, and I also love dies that make cool impressions on the cardstock without actually cutting anything out! The Radiating Stitches dies by Stampin’ Up! are so much fun…they make cool “faux stitching” around differently-sized rectangles and shapes, which are super fun to use on cards!
Today’s card uses the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is one of the FREE items you can choose during Sale-A-Bration 2024. You have until the end of February (1 week left!) to cash in on these awesome products…don’t miss out! The links to all of the items that I used here are listed at the end of this blog post, and you can click on them. They’ll take you directly to my Stampin’ Up! website to grab everything you need!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. You can see exactly how I made it, step by step! I started out by taking a regular Basic White card base, measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, and folding it in half. Next, I layered on a piece of the rainbow-printed DSP, which, by the way, is adorable!! I love how the Shaded Spruce and Pool Party colors go together. This piece measures 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″.
On top of the DSP, I layered 2 different rectangles that I die cut out using the Radiating Stitches dies. The larger rectangle is Shaded Spruce cardstock, and the smaller one is Pool Party. I love how the cardstock looks “stitched” around the outer edges! It adds such a cute touch. I adhered the Shaded Spruce directly onto the card base using Liquid Glue, and the Pool Party rectangle was adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Before adhering on the Pool Party rectangle, I stamped the sentiment using Shaded Spruce ink. I absolutely LOVE this sentiment stamp set, called “Good Feelings”…the sentiments are large and bold, and the fonts are fantastic!
Finally, I added on a few cute accents to finish off the card. The heart was die cut out of Basic White cardstock, and again, I love the little faux stitched look around the outer edge of the heart! Then, I sprinkled on some of the Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls. These pearls are fantastic, not only because they are iridescent and shimmery, but also because they are FLAT! They add no bulk to the card, making it easy to mail.
As you know, I love easy, cute cards. This one definitely fits that description! It’s so easy, and yet it turned out adorable! I hope you like it, too. You can grab the Radiating Stitches dies on my website!
