"Festive Christmas" with the Trucking Along Stamp Set

Have you played with the Trucking Along stamp set by Stampin’ Up! yet? This stamp set and truck punch bundle are SO cute! These are Online Exclusive items, only featured online, so they are easy to overlook. So I’m featuring a cute, winter card here today using this bundle!

This card base is made of Misty Moonlight cardstock, which is the most gorgeous color of blue ever! I think of it like the color of denim. It’s dark, but not navy. Fabulous! It measures 4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half.

Layered on top of the card base is a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. On top of that is the gorgeous feature of the card: the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper (DSP)! Oh my goodness, you are absolutely missing out if you have not yet checked out this beautiful paper! It has so many beautiful winter scenes, and all you have to do is add a sentiment or a little image to it…and voila! This paper truly sets the stage.

Next, I stamped the adorable little truck from the Trucking Along stamp set onto Basic White cardstock, using Pebbled Path ink. First, I inked up the bold stamp of the truck, and then I stamped off onto scratch paper before stamping onto my cardstock. Next, I inked up the outline image of the truck and stamped on top of the bolder image to add the details. Then, I punched out the image with the adorable matching Truck Punch! The last detail was stamping the “Farm Fresh” words onto the side of the truck, using Black Memento ink. What a cute, cute detail!

The fun part to this stamp set is all of the “extras” that are included. There are so many little things you can add to the pickup of the truck: flowers, presents, beachy supplies, and a Christmas Tree! So, of course, I stamped the tree image onto my cardstock using Shaded Spruce ink. Just like with the truck, first I stamped off the bolder image before stamping onto my cardstock, and then I inked up the detail image and stamped on top of the bold trees. I cut this out by hand, leaving myself a little extra at the bottom so that I would have an area to apply glue and adhere it to the back of my truck.

I stamped the sentiment using Pebbled Path ink, and punched it out using the Double Oval Punch. I absolutely love this punch! It’s so perfect for sentiments. I added a little ribbon “flag” to the back of the punch, using the White Iridescent Ribbon.

And finally, I added some of my favorite new gems from the holiday mini catalog: the Adhesive-Backed Glitter Sequins. They are so amazing, because they are ultra-sparkly AND they are completely flat, making them perfect to mail! The white sequins give the effect of sparkly snowflakes falling in the sky of my wintery scene!
