I volunteered to make 200 little candy pouches for Mother’s Day at church this year! It was a last-minute request, so I needed to find a design that would be quick, but cute. This little baby is the ticket!

Start out by grabbing a 6″ x 6″ piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP). If you choose to use cardstock, it is super thick and will be much more difficult to fold. DSP is the perfect weight, and if you use a Bone Folder, you can get nice, crisp folds that will stay intact.
For this project, I pulled out tons of my retired products. I was looking specifically for floral designs, but I also found a paper pack that was all about butterflies. It was perfect! I was able to combine all of these designs to make dozens and dozens of darling little pouches.

Fold the paper as pictured here. First, fold into a triangle. Then, fold each bottom corner up to meet the other side (see picture). Finally, you fold down the top triangle layer, and this flap holds the entire pouch in place. SO EASY!!!

If you have more time than I did, you could easily come up with a super cute design for the front of your pouch, such as a sentiment, a large flower, or another punched out shape. I needed to make a lot of these quickly, so I chose to use a scallop punch (retired), and then layer a quick sentiment on top (stamp set is also retired). I used my Three Banner Punch to punch out these sentiments, which is exactly what I was looking for. Remember–QUICK & CUTE!!
I hope these inspire you to make some little gifts for some lovelies around you! Pull out some DSP of a design that will match the theme of whatever you are wanting to coordinate with, and have some fun. A single Ghirardelli chocolate square fits perfectly into these, which makes it seem a bit decadent without blowing the budget!

Lisa, I have to make 80-100 table favors for a Fall Harvest Luncheon in October. This is perfect!
Fantastic!! Have fun making them! They’re super easy!
These are so cute but I think you are glutton for punishment.
HAHAHAHA!!!!! Luckily for me, after I got everything punched, stamped, and prepped, my mother in law did all the folding!! It was a huge blessing!!!
Want to make for these as Christmas favors for nurses. Do you fold 2 pieces of together to create the pouch? Thank you so much for a great, inexpensive gift.
No, it’s just 1 piece of 6×6″ paper! Scroll over all of the pictures, and it shows you step-by-step how to fold each square 🙂 Have fun!
