I started out with my earrings blanks. PLEASE CLICK HERE to go to my Amazon affiliate link to grab yourself a pack! They have lots of different shapes, but I liked these because they were big enough to really feature the cute papers. I liked this pack because it came as a complete kit, including the wooden blanks, the jump rings, and the fish hook earring posts. I didn’t have to buy each part separately.
Go through your printed papers, and find some small prints! I liked these prints that I chose from the Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack, because they were small and Christmassy. I started out by tracing the shape onto my DSP, using a pencil, and cutting them out. I cut out enough so that I was able to cover both the front and back of the wooden blanks.

Next, I pulled out my Matte Mod Podge, and used this as my adhesive to stick the paper to the wood. I covered both front and back, and then used my handheld sander to sand off all of the excess paper hanging over the edge. This gives it such a perfect, finished look!
Next, I gave the earrings another coat of Mod Podge, so that the paper was sealed instead of just raw paper that could easily get damaged by water or hairspray. The Mod Podge gives it a nice seal over everything.

After it was dry, I was able to poke a hole through the paper with my Take Your Pick tool, and then thread in the jump ring and the fish hook earring back.
And, voila! That’s it!! Such a simple, but CUTE, project that you should totally give a try! Please share if you do!
