Christmas Crew Scalloped Blooms Box

I did it…I made the CUTEST box using the Scalloped Blooms dies for the lid! It’s ADORABLE!!!

I made this box for this week’s episode of The Great North American Stampin’ Show, Season 10 Episode 7. The theme was “Box it Up!”, and I decided to make a Christmas-themed box. The lid is basically one that just lays on top, but it’s so fantastic, you’re going to love it. The box base is made from Peaceful Pine cardstock, which measures 5-13/16″ x 6-5/16″. I scored all 4 sides at 1-1/2″, which makes the box 1-1/2″ deep. I sliced up on the score lines on 2 of the sides, and then put the box together using Liquid Glue.

The lid is made from the Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper (DSP), and I die cut it out using the largest Scalloped Blooms die. I scored it around all 4 edges, and it’s helpful to watch the video to know where. There are 5 scallops on the left and right sides, and then 4 on the top and bottom sections. I burnished on the score lines, and then it made the perfect “lid” to lay onto the bottom of the box! The scallops look SO CUTE hanging over the sides!

I made a big bow around it using the matching Peaceful Pine ribbon, and added in some other ribbon for some pizazz. I added a tag that was cut directly out of the DSP, and then stamped and colored in the adorable little reindeer from the Christmas Crew stamp set. He’s adorable!! I colored him in using Stampin’ Blends markers in Pecan Pie and Real Red.
