It’s time to start getting those gift packaging items made!! Christmas will be here before we know it, so today I have a beautiful gift card holder for you that’s easy and quick to make. This creation was what I submitted for this week’s Great North American Stampin’ Show, Season 10 Episode 6. If you missed it, PLEASE CLICK HERE to go back and watch!
I have been LOVING the entire Neutral Noel mega suite this season. Today’s creation uses a little bit of both, but mostly the Welcome Noel stamps and dies. And the SPECIALTY PAPER (DSP)!! You guys!! It’s soooo beautiful!
This week’s challenge on GNASS was “Going for Gold,” so I decided to go with some of our beautiful, gold papers. This suite was perfect! And the paper is to die for.
I started with a piece of Early Espresso cardstock, measuring 3-1/2″ x 8″, and scored right in the middle at 4″. Then I turned it on the short side, and scored in from each edge 3/8″. I burnished the score lines, and added Tear & Tape to adhere it together to form a pocket. It’s the perfect size for a gift card!
I decorated the front of the pouch with a piece of DSP that measures 3-3/4″ x 2-1/2″, and layered another piece on top that measures 2-3/4″ x 1-1/2″. Then, I added lots of different stamped & die cut images to finish decorating the focal point of the pouch.
I stamped the trees with Mossy Meadow, the deer with Early Espresso, and the pinecones with Pecan Pie. I arranged them and adhered them with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and it turned out SO CUTE!! I added some of the Early Espresso Jute Twine for the perfect, “woodsy” touch.
The windows of the little house are see-through, so I also cut out a tiny piece of the matching DSP to adhere behind the windows so that the tree doesn’t show through. I also love this look, because it makes the windows look like they’re shining from within! It’s perfect!
I tucked a gift card into the pouch, and wrapped it with a ribbon so that you can pull it out. There are lots of different ways you could do this, but this way is quick and easy. And during the holidays, quick and easy are KEY, right??
