Today’s project is adorable and easy! It’s a perfect creation to use for Christmas gift tags, or even ornaments for your Christmas tree. And it takes hardly any supplies!
I pulled out my 2-3/8″ Circle Punch to make this paper angel, and punched out 3 circles. I love the gold foiling that swirls through the Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper (DSP)…it made it the easy choice for me, for today’s project!
Next, I took each circle and folded them in half. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made these angels…you’ll be able to easily see exactly how to stick them all together to create each angel!
I found some gold cording in my stash, and made a knot in one end (please see video). Then I adhered the cording inside one of the circles, and folded it in half around the cording. You can see that 2 circles are needed for the angel’s body, and 1 circle is adhered to the back for the wings.
I have a big jar of wooden beads that I used for the angel’s head, but I also think that gold beads or pearls would be perfect for this project, as well! I just used what I had on hand, and I think they look perfect.
After adhering the second circle over the top of the first (please see video to see how this is done), I then glued the last circle closed, and adhered it to the back for the wings. You can see how this looks from the back view, here on this red angel.
I’m going to use my hot glue to glue down the heads, so they don’t wobble around, but I wanted to get this idea posted right away so that you can get started on making some for yourself! I hope you are able to use this idea for your own home décor or gift tags…we have so many beautiful papers that would work wonderfully for this project. Share with me if you make some!
