Simple card layouts…what’s not to love about that?? I have found that if I use my Designer Series Paper (DSP), no matter what the print is, I can make an easy (but fantastic!) card, without working very hard! Let the paper do the hard work!
If I have a print of DSP that is a “scene,” the card layout is even EASIER! This card features a winter scene from the Nests of Winter DSP, and it’s beautiful. I honestly didn’t have to work hard to make a card that is truly darling, and something I would be happy to stick in the mail to a sweet friend!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s so simple you won’t believe it!
I started out with an Early Espresso cardstock base, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. Layered on top of that is a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. Finally, layered on top of that is one of the scenic scenes in the DSP pack, and this piece of DSP measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. Could it get any easier?
Using the Simply Fabulous dies, I cut out a little tag from Basic White cardstock and stamped my sentiment onto it with Early Espresso ink. I added a couple of ribbons tied in a knot, to add some pizzaz, and then finished it off with some of the red gems that we have featured in our Holiday Mini Catalog.
Easy cards like this are awesome for making a quick pile of cards to get ready for the holidays! I would highly recommend it!

Hi I want to make the card you made with the snow scene divided into 3
stripes. You put a bow I’m the top left hand corner.
I need the measurements.
Thank you so much!
