Traditions of Christmas Gift Pouch

Are you ready to start creating your giftables for the holiday season? You’ll really get a lot of mileage out of today’s project. It’s a gift pouch that you can use for flat gifts…think of a hot chocolate packet, a letter, a full-sized candy bar, and more!

I made these beautiful pouches for pillow gifts for those who attended my Great North American Stampin’ Show Christmas Retreat in a Box, and I absolutely love them. They are so versatile! I will definitely keep using this layout in the future.

First of all, start with a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP), in whatever print you’d like, measuring 12″ x 6″. You’ll score it at 4″ and 8″, so that it’s evenly divided. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this project.

Next, turn the DSP on its side, and find the middle of each end at 3″. Make a mark with your pencil. Now, slice off each end at an angle…start at the 3″ mark, and slice toward the score mark. Do this on both ends.

Now, add Tear & Tape adhesive, and close up your pouch! It’s that easy.

I decorated these pouches using the Traditional Labels dies and stamps, which are my FAVORITE this season. I’ve used them on everything! I also sprinkled on some of the Traditional Sparkly Sequins, which are also absolutely fabulous. They are completely flat, so they add no bulk to your project at all. And finally, I used the beautiful Red Shiny satin ribbon, which I have used several rolls of so far this season. LOVE!
