THANK YOU to all of you who have sent love, support, and prayers to me and my family in the wake of the passing of my mom a couple of days ago. Honestly, it is still very surreal for me, and I have a hard time believing she’s really not here anymore, just a phone call away. But today, I chose to sit down and make a card just for her. A card full of her favorite things–FLOWERS.
I pulled out the Textured Floral stamp set, and used almost every stamp in the set! I wanted the entire card to be covered with flowers, a variety of different colors and sizes. I think I accomplished that vision!

PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. You can see how I layered all of the colors and flowers so easily with this beautiful stamp set.
I started out with a card base made of a piece of Bubble Bath card stock, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. I *LOVE* this color of pink! It is so beautiful, and it’s not hard to talk me into it since my favorite color in all the world has always been pink. Aaaaah! I just love it.
Layered on top of this is a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. I stamped ALL over this piece of cardstock using the various flower, stem, and leaf stamps in the Textured Floral stamp set, until it was completely covered. Here are the colors I used: Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath, Petunia Pop, Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, and Peach Pie. Don’t all of these soft colors look beautiful together?? After I finished stamping the entire card, I just loved it to pieces.

Next, I punched out a few pieces of greenery using the Bough Punch. These were punched out of Lemon Lolly and Soft Sea Foam cardstock. I stamped the beautiful sentiment from the stamp set onto a piece of Basic White cardstock measuring 3-7/8″ x 1-1/8″, using Petunia Pop ink. I bannered each side, and attached the punched greenery pieces to the back. I layered this onto the cardstock using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment I chose was perfect. As I have been going through pictures this week, preparing for her Celebration of Life service, I keep looking at her beautiful smile and I can’t help but smile back. This sentiment says it all: “Every Thought of You Makes Me Smile.”

Finally, I added some embellishments to finish it off. Every perfect card has some embellishments, right? I added the beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies, as well as the Iridescent Pearls.
I think I will keep making cards for my mom this week. They bring me joy as I keep her close.

I Love this card
