The Taco Fiesta stamp set by Stampin’ Up! is retiring in just a few short weeks, and I’m so sad! This stamp set makes me smile, because it’s so fun. My favorite part about the set is how you can add little faces onto the objects in the set…how can you not smile when you’re looking at a smiling avocado or bowl of guacamole??!

This card layout is a simple one, yet it’s one that could be used with TONS of different stamp sets and looks. Because the images are so small in the Taco Fiesta stamp set, I thought it would be perfect for this card layout.
I started out with a basic card base of Basic White cardstock, measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and folded in half. On top of this I layered a piece of the Pumpkin Pie Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Brights 6″ x 6″ DSP pack, which is also retiring! It’s also on a killer sale…grab it now before it’s gone! This Pumpkin Pie piece measures 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″.
Before adhering the DSP to the card base, I wrapped a piece of the fun, glitzy Parakeet Party 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon around it twice, tying a knot. My favorite thing about this ribbon is that you can fray the ends, making it even more fun! This ribbon is ALSO retiring!
I die cut out 3 little squares from the Stylish Shapes dies, and I used the 2nd to smallest square. Onto these squares, I stamped different images from the stamp set with Black Memento ink, and then colored them in with various Stampin’ Blends. You could use any colors you’d like for this part…I just chose colors that were fun, bright, and festive.
Finally, I layered these squares onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment, also using Black Memento ink, onto a little 3/4″ x 2″ scrap of Basic White cardstock, and bannered the left-hand edge before adding it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The longest part of this process was the coloring! The card layout itself is easy and quick. What do you think? Do you think you’ll try this yourself? I sure hope so! And, don’t forget to grab this stamp set before it’s gone at the end of April!
