If you’ve never made home décor using your papercrafting supplies, you need to put this on your to-do list immediately! It’s so much fun, and so satisfying, to make décor pieces to put around your house that you have handmade. And, they’re really fun to do!
This sweet home décor piece is made using the new Sweet Blooms stamp set and coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack that will be in the new 2025-26 Annual Catalog by Stampin’ Up!, starting May 6, 2025.

The frame I used for this piece is a cheap, white frame from IKEA. You could use any 4″ x 6″ frame for this design. I cut a piece of DSP that fit into the frame, left the glass out of the front, and then had fun decorating it up.

Next, I hand-cut many of the floral images from one of the sheets of DSP. I cut more than I needed, because I wanted to be sure to have a variety to choose from, both in color, size, and shape. I also cut out some leaves, so that the greenery would balance out the flowers.

Next, I started layering everything into the frame. I laid it all out before gluing anything down, so that I could be sure that I liked how it looked. I glued the bottom layer down with Liquid Glue, and then layered a few of the flowers on the top layer using some Stampin’ Dimensionals. This helped give it texture and depth.
I die cut out the word “bloom” from the matching die set, using Bubble Bath and Basic White cardstocks, and layered them onto the bottom of the frame using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The words were stamped with Berry Burst ink onto Bubble Bath cardstock.

Finally, I added a few of the beautiful new Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink gems, as well as a nice, big bow. I attached the bow using my hot glue gun. I love the one I use from my Amazon affiliate shop, because it has a nice, pointed tip that gets the glue exactly where I want it to go. I layered several different bows, one on top of the other, so that it would be nice and full. I used the 1/2″ White Woven Ribbon, the 1/8″ Fresh Freesia Faux Velvet Ribbon, the Gold Open Weave Trim, and the 1/4″ White Ribbon for this. Didn’t it turn out beautifully?
The last touch was adding a little bit of Wink of Stella Glitter to the flowers. It added the perfect amount of glam to the project.
I hope this has inspired you to give it a try yourself!
