This card layout is SO much fun! It’s so simple, yet it creates such a fabulous, organized-looking layout that is appealing to the eye. I pulled out the new Sunrise Sailing stamp set for this project, and I love this new set because it’s perfect for Summer! It’s also perfect for masculine cards, which lots of people say are so hard to create.
I’m featuring this stamp set, dies, and 3D Hybrid Embossing Folder in my June 2025 card kit! Go ahead and sign up–it’s going to be a good one! PLEASE CLICK HERE to find out all of the info for June’s card class!

This card starts with a Misty Moonlight card base, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″ and folded in half. Layered on top of that is a piece of Night of Navy cardstock, measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-3/4″. Finally, layered on top of this are 3 strips of the Timeless Plaid Designer Series Paper (DSP), all of which measure 1″ x 4-1/2″. This plaid DSP is SO versatile, and I have absolutely LOVED creating with it!
The setting sun on this card is made by die cutting out the 2nd to the largest Stylish Shapes die (circle). Then I took my Blending Brushes, and dipped one into my Daffodil Delight ink. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. You can watch the entire process, step-by-step! After it’s covered with the Daffodil Delight, I layered Calypso Coral ink on top of that. It looks just like a sunset, doesn’t it?? I love how this looks!!

I stamped the sailboat with Night of Navy & Real Red inks onto Basic White cardstock, and die cut it out. I colored the base of the boat with my Stampin’ Blends markers, which look fantastic. I layered the boat onto the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals, to give it some height and pop it off the card base.
I also added a few birds in the sky. I used my Night of Navy ink pad for this, because it was handy, but you could also use Black Memento ink. Either way, it really adds to the scene to add the birds flying in the background!

The sentiment was stamped with Real Red ink, and I finished off the card with the Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries.
You’ve got to try this 3 Strip card layout with lots of different papers. It is so versatile, you’ll find that you can use it for a million different layouts! Have fun!
