I made another Thank You card today, knowing that I need to make and send quite a few in the next couple of weeks. This one was a fun one to make, because it was both easy yet impactful in the way it turned out!
I started out with a regular Basic White card base measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, folded in half. Layered on top of that is a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock, measuring 3-1/8″ x 4-1/4″. Finally, layered on top of that, is a piece of the Simply Zinnias Designer Series Paper (DSP), measuring 3″ x 4″.
Before adhering the DSP to the Granny Apple Green layer, I wrapped a piece of ribbon around it and tied a bow, using the White 1/4″ Diagonal Trim. I loooooove this ribbon.
Next, I stamped the Simply Zinnias stamp onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, using Black Memento ink, and die cut it out with the matching dies. Then, using Sponge Daubers, I “colored in” the image using Melon Mambo ink, Granny Apple Green ink, and Daffodil Delight ink. Isn’t it awesome how the impressionistic look really blends the colors together? It is such a fast and easy way to color in the image, yet it looks amazing! I adhered this to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You can’t really see it in these photos, but I also colored in the zinnias using my Wink of Stella Glitter Pen. When you see the card in person, it gives a little sparkle that really looks nice without being overpowering.
Finally, I added “A Million Thanks” sentiment to the bottom of the card, also using Black Memento ink. This sentiment is from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set, and I love how it looks! It is the coolest font.
And that’s it! This card was easy to make, yet I really love how it looks!
