I love to make home décor with my Stampin’ Up! products! And, when we offer products as gorgeous as the O Holy Night suite, I can’t help myself!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this project. I have close-up pictures here, as well as some explanation, but if you’d like to be able to re-create the project yourself, it will probably be most helpful to watch the video!
First of all, I started off with my base. You can use any sort of base you’d like, but I found mine at Hobby Lobby. It is a mini charcuterie board from the Spring 2023 product line, and I loved the long and skinny layout. I just knew it would be perfect for this little shelf sitter. This particular board (minus the handle) is approximately 8″ long, and 2-1/2″ wide.
Next, I die cut out several circles, all from the Stylish Shapes dies. The bottom circles are cut out of Very Vanilla cardstock, and the beautiful Night of Navy starry paper is from the Shining Brightly Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack. I absolutely love the foil stars on this paper, and knew it would be the perfect background piece for this project.
The bling is brought in by adding circles from the More Dazzle paper, which is just the best! I love shimmer and shine, especially at Christmas. And, this paper adds just a perfect little shimmery outline around the navy circle, don’t you think?
I also die cut out several of the stars from the Stars at Night die set, also using the More Dazzle DSP. I knew they would be perfect accent pieces with that glitz and shimmer.
The center circle has a sentiment that is heat embossed, using Gold Embossing Powder. I love it! I think the font on the Night Divine sentiments are just gorgeous.
I also die cut out the Holy Family, as well as the little donkey, from Very Vanilla cardstock. I felt like the Vanilla theme made the project super classy, especially when paired with the gold. I trimmed off the Wiseman from the Holy Family die, and put him on separately on the left-handed circle, along with the donkey. I felt like it really balanced out the look!
After adding the shimmery stars around my sentiment, the final touch was the Star Trinket, which I placed right above Baby Jesus. It was the perfect touch! And I tied a beautiful bow around the handle of the charcuterie board.
Oh! I almost forgot my moment of brilliance! Ha ha! You can watch exactly how I accomplished this in the video, but suffice it to say, I figured out how to use my Natural Ribbon as straw in the manger! It helps to add some texture and interest to the piece, without overwhelming the beauty. I was very proud of myself for this one!
I absolutely LOVE how this project turned out! I plan to make several of them to sell at an upcoming craft fair. I hope you will give it a try! PLEASE CLICK HERE to hop over to see a card that I made using this same product suite, except I used Basic White instead of the Very Vanilla. They are both stunning!
