My husband and I have a HUGE vegetable garden. We plant a really large garden every year, and we absolutely LOVE all of the fresh veggies we get to enjoy all summer long. We usually plant about 25 different tomato plants, so that I have plenty to can for soups and stews all winter long, as well as make into fresh, homemade marinara sauce. It is sooooo good!
When I saw the new Market Goodness product suite in the 2024-25 Stampin’ Up! catalog, I knew I had to have it! The veggies are just so cute, if you can really say that about a vegetable! Ha ha! I decided to make a cute, but easy, fun fold card today featuring this suite, and I know you’ll love it!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It took a little time, but it was worth it!
I started off with a card base made out of Pecan Pie cardstock, measuring 4-1/2″ x 11″ and folded in half. Then, I cut off 3″ from the card front, so that now the front of the card is really short. But don’t get rid of the piece that got cut off! We’ll use it for the front layer of the card. You can easily see this if you take a peek at the video.
I used the lettuce stamp from the Market Goodness stamp set, along with Versamark ink pad, to make the neat background on the left-hand side of the front of the card. I love using Versamark ink for this technique. It gives a tone-on-tone look, making it look like I used the Pecan Pie ink pad to make the background. But, I didn’t! It’s just Versamark! It does this same thing, creating a tone-on-tone effect, on whatever color of cardstock you use. It’s such a great technique!
The front of the card is the little 3″ x 4-1/4″ piece that we cut off. I layered a piece of the To Market Designer Series Paper (DSP) on top, measuring 2-7/8″ x 4-1/8″. It is a neat woodgrain print, which blends in with the Pecan Pie cardstock so well. It gives it some texture and interest, which I love.
I stamped the sentiment onto a skinny, Garden Green plaid piece of the To Market DSP, measuring 1/2″ x 3-3/4″. The “Hello” sentiment is from the stamp set, and I used Early Espresso ink. I bannered the right-hand side using my Paper Snips, which added a nice touch.
All of the vegetables are directly cut out of the DSP, and they are adorable! There were a few of the veggies that I had to cut out by hand, but most of them have matching dies. The basket is cut out of Crumb Cake cardstock, and I layered all of the vegetables up, taping them together with a piece of Scotch tape. It was the easiest way to do it!
The inside of the card is a piece of 4-1/2″ x 5-1/4″ Basic White cardstock, and I stamped the little “X” design on the right-hand side using Garden Green ink. It really added a nice touch to the inside.
The final touch was the piece of ribbon that I added to the basket. You really need to watch the video to see how I made it…I picked apart a little piece of ribbon and tied a knot around it, and look how fantastic it looks! It was the absolute PERFECT embellishment for this card!
This fun fold is a great one to use with ALL sorts of papers and designs, and I think it is my absolute favorite fun fold. I use it all the time! I hope it gave you some inspiration, and that you will give it a try!
