I created the cutest little candy holder for this week’s episode of the Great North American Stampin’ Show, using the Keeping Traditions Scrapbook Kit! The GNASS girls are teaming up to bring you the COOLEST Traditions & Treasures Christmas Retreat in a Box, which will be mailed out on October 31. It’s going to be amazing!! Our challenge this week was to create projects using the kit, and I came up with this cute candy holder. I love it, and I’m impressed with myself, because I normally can’t create things like this! I’m not good at all of those math things!! LOL

PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I created this project. It’s such a good one, and it definitely helps to see how it’s put together.
I used the largest die in the Branching Out die set to cut out 2 pieces of Secret Sea cardstock, and then I used one of the pieces of Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the kit to die cut out the 2nd largest die. After layering these together, I put together my box.

The Secret Sea cardstock used to make the box measures 4-1/2″ x 6″, scored on the long side at 2-3/4″ and 3-1/4″. Then, I scored in at 1/2″ from each edge on the short side. I trimmed in on the center score lines, folded in the box, and used Tear & Tape adhesive to glue the box together.
I added the handle by trimming off the edge of the DSP that I used. It’s the perfect width for my box!

Using the pine bough dies from the Christmas Greenery die set, I die cut out 2 boughs from Shaded Spruce cardstock. I used the amazing Traditional Labels dies to die cut out the Poinsettia-printed DSP from the kit, as well as the sentiment die from Basic White cardstock. I LOVE these labels dies and stamps, which is what I used for the sentiment. I stamped it with matching Secret Sea ink, and layered everything up with Dimensionals.

The finishing touch was adding a few of the gorgeous Traditional Sparkling sequins, and the box is finished! I LOVE IT!! (and, I’m impressed with myself!! LOLOL)
