Sometimes, simple is better! And, I think this card proves my point! This card has color, but the base is just neutral tones layered on top of one another to give texture and depth. I love how it turned out!
I used the Beautiful Balloons stamp set and coordinating dies for this card. First, I die cut out 2 of the balloon sizes, and laid them all over the card base until I liked how it looked. Then I adhered them down.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) on this card is the Bright & Beautiful DSP, which is one of my current favorites. The colors are so fun, and the prints and perfect for birthday and whimsy! I love the little scallop print that I used for my background here, which picks up both the Berry Burst color, as well as the Bubble Bath color.
The medallion centerpiece of the card was made with more balloon dies. This card had lots of die cutting, but it was all using the same dies, so it went quickly! I cut one balloon from Bubble Bath cardstock, one from Basic White, and one from some of the ombre DSP from the same paper pack. Then, I tied little strings onto my balloons using the Basics Twine Pack, and tied a knot.
I hope you love this fun, whimsical card as much as I do! I love how the tone-on-tone background was fun and effective, yet neutral. You must give it a try!
