OK, I’m rounding out the week with the 3rd installment of these awesome fun fold cards! I didn’t necessarily mean to do that, but hey, that’s how it turned out! I was having so much fun with this layout, I couldn’t stop. LOL!
My cute card today uses the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is one of the FREEBIES you can earn during Sale-A-Bration 2024! This paper pack has some of the cutest prints in it, and this cherry print was PERFECT to go with the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set. So, as you can see, I *had* to make this card! haha!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. I’ll also give you the links here to go check out the other 2 cards that I’ve made with this exact same layout.
As you can see, I chose the cherry-printed paper for this card base. It’s such a cute, cheerful print! This fun fold card layout features the DSP beautifully. You could use any DSP design for this card layout, which is why I’ve made 2 other versions of this exact same layout this week! This fold really features the paper itself. You start out with a piece of DSP measuring 5-1/2″ x 12″, scored on the long side at 3-3/4″ and 8″.
PLEASE CLICK HERE to see the beautiful card I made yesterday, using the Flight & Airy DSP. This card turned out so beautifully! And, if you CLICK HERE, you can see the masculine version, using the Trusty Toolbox DSP. All three of these paper packs are available during Sale-A-Bration 2024, which ends at the end of February! Don’t miss out!
Layered onto the front of the card, I used the Stylish Shapes dies to cut out a circle from Basic White cardstock. Next, I used the Ice Cream Swirl die set to cut out one of the little ice cream cups from Basic Black cardstock, and then I embossed it with the “hash” embossing folder from the 3D Basics Embossing Folder pack. I love these three folders! I use them ALL the time. I felt like it really added to the little cup by embossing it, so that it had some texture.
Next, I stamped lots of little cherries onto Basic White cardstock, using Black Memento ink. This little cherry stamp is also from the Ice Cream Swirl stamp set. I colored them in using Poppy Parade Blends, as well as the Medium Deep Brown Blend for the stem. I die cut these out with the Ice Cream Swirl dies, and put them into the little bowl using both Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment onto Shaded Spruce cardstock, using a Versamark ink pad and our Basics embossing powders (white). I love using our Embossing Tool Kit…the silicone tweezers are the best! I especially use them when I’m using my heat tool, so that I don’t burn my fingers with that hot air. I bannered the edge of the sentiment piece using my Paper Snips, and adhered this onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I tied the card closed using our cute Sweet Sorbet 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon, which matches wonderfully (even though the card is done with Poppy Parade). I love how our products all blend together!
Well, what do you think? I hope I’ve talked you into trying this awesome fun fold layout! I’ve really had fun with these this week, and I hope you have, too.
