Circles, Circles, Circles!! Who doesn’t LOVE our circle punches!?!? I love ALL of our punches, and I absolutely LOVE this card that I made using our 3 current circle punches: 1-3/4″, 2″, and 2-3/8″! Let’s have some fun!
I pulled out my Color Coach to come up with the color scheme for today’s card, and I wanted the colors to be bright and fun for a birthday card. I think I hit the nail on the head with this color combo, don’t you think? I punched out various circles from 3 different colors of cardstock: Blueberry Bushel, Melon Mambo, and Lemon Lime Twist.
I used my Silicone Craft Sheet as my guide, so that I would know approximately how wide and tall I wanted my layout of circles to be. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It will definitely help you understand exactly how I put this card together!
Next, I pulled out my pack of Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Country Lace. It has some gorgeous prints that are a little more subtle, made up of greys and blues. I cut a piece measuring 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″, and used this as my card base.
After finishing my entire “plate” of circles, I used my Liquid Glue around the bottom and sides of the piece of DSP (see the video for exact placement of my glue) and adhered the circles onto the card base so that it created a pocket. I trimmed off the excess, and voila! This card base is SO SO COOL!!!
Finally, I took a 3-3/4″ x 4-3/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock and stamped the word “Celebrate” from the new Iconic Imagery stamp set onto the top, using Blueberry Bushel ink. I LOVE this font! And, it was absolutely PERFECT for this card! I tucked this card into my little pocket, and the card was complete!
I think you could add some gems to this card, as well! And, think of the different color combinations you could use for these circles. WOW! I can’t wait to make more of these in the future! I hope you really got some fun inspiration to try in your cardmaking adventures today.
