Chicken Birthday Card with the Hey Chuck Stamp Set

Do you like to give silly birthday cards sometimes? I sure hope so! This card is sure to make you smile when you see it. These chickens are just too funny!

I’ve told you before that we have lots of chickens at my house. Lots! And, we just got some new chicks to add to the bunch. They absolutely crack me up! They’re not exactly the smartest animals, and they give you looks that make my husband and I laugh.

This card uses the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper (DSP), which has a print in it that can be cut out to use as a card base. Isn’t this outdoor scene just perfect? After I added in some of the fence posts that I stamped with Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock, I ran it through the die cut machine with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. It gave the wooden fenceposts the perfect texture! I was able to add these fenceposts to the outdoor scene, and it created exactly the look I wanted.

After I stamped the chicken onto Basic White cardstock with Black Memento ink, I colored her in with my Stampin’ Blends markers, which are alcohol-based markers that make you look like an artist! I kept adding color, blending and blending, until I was satisfied with how she turned out.

After coloring, I cut her out with the dies, and she was ready to layer onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Did you see that I also decorated the inside of my card? I’m really bad about doing that, but this time I remembered, because I wanted to add another silly chicken to this card! And, this chicken is wearing boxer shorts! What’s not to laugh about that!? So cute, I just can’t stand it!
