I absolutely LOVE decorating and crafting for Fall. I am always sad to see Summer go, but I love the colors and warmth that symbolize the season of Fall. I love pulling out the pumpkins, hearing the crunching leaves, and listening to the crackling fire. And, I absolutely LOVE pumpkin pie, bread, muffins, and pancakes!
The new Autumn Leaves stamp set by Stampin’ Up!, along with the coordinating dies and gorgeous All About Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP), is absolutely stunning. This suite of products really brings all of the autumnal feels of Fall, whether you’re ready for it or not! I love the foil accents on the paper designs, too. The elegant sparkle and shine are so warm and inviting.
I made this card using Very Vanilla as my card base, and then covered the entire card front with one of the gorgeous pieces of DSP. There are so many different designs you could choose for this card, but I chose the pattern that has the leaves all over it. It’s such a simple card design that you could really use any of the prints to make this exact same card, and it would give you a completely different look.
I added a 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Vanilla foil-printed DSP to the middle of the card, attaching it using Stampin’ Dimensionals. On top of this piece, I layered a strip of the Pecan Pie Bordered Ribbon, where I had cut off one of the edges, and picked it apart so that it had a frayed edge on the ribbon. PLEASE CLICK HERE to see the video where I made this card. You can see exactly how I accomplished this beautiful look with the ribbon, by fraying it apart.
I added a piece of our gorgeous copper ribbon behind this strip, which really adds some beautiful shine to the card front. I can’t believe how beautiful this ribbon is!
Next, I cut out the maple leaf from Cajun Craze cardstock, using the Autumn Leaves dies. Then, I put this through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I absolutely LOVE this folder! It really made a gorgeous design on this leaf. I layered this on top of the strip of ribbon, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On top of this leaf, I stamped another maple leaf using Crushed Curry ink, and cut it out with the matching die. I cut the leaf veins out also using one of the dies, and I chose one of the DSP designs that has foil on it so that the veins would have a little foil shimmer. I love how it turned out! I adhered the leaf veins to the leaf using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, and then layered it on top of the Cajun Craze embossed leaf, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
The final touch was stamping the sentiment onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, and I love this square! It is another one of the cool dies from the Autumn Leaves die set. I stamped the sentiment with the matching Cajun Craze ink, and then sprinkled on a few of the Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots. The dots really added the perfect final touch to the card.
I hope you are enjoying creating for Fall! PLEASE CLICK HERE to jump over to another card using the Autumn Leaves stamp set. I think you’re going to fall in love with this entire suite!
