Elegantly Wrapped Tea Light Luminary Card

I have such a neat project for you today! I hope you give it a try…it is so beautiful in person, WAY better than the pictures I’m showing you here today! I made this project for The Great North American Stampin’ Show, Season 10, Episode 10. The theme was “Show Me Some Blue,” and I decided to feature this product suite because it uses Secret Sea and Misty Moonlight in the colors. It’s SO pretty!

I started with a piece of Secret Sea cardstock that measures 3-3/4″ x 11″. It’s scored at 3-3/4″ & 7-1/2″. The “shorter” end goes at the bottom, where the sentiment will be.

I layered on a piece of the All Wrapped Up Designer Series Paper (DSP), and that measures 3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″. I die cut out a window through both layers, using the 4th smallest Everyday Arches die.

Next, I layered a piece of Silver Foil cardstock on the inside of the card, and used the 3rd smallest Everyday Arches die to create a layered window effect. I love how the silver peeks through the frame to add a second layer!

I added a piece of our beautiful White Mulberry Paper to the inside of the window, where the tealight will shine through. It’s a PERFECT paper to use for this technique!

I die cut several pieces of greenery directly from the DSP, and arranged them into a little bouquet on the front of the card. I added a bow, fraying the ribbon, and sprinkled on some beautifully sparkly rhinestones.

The strip of DSP for the sentiment measures 3-3/4″ x 1″, and I chose to use the matching plaid print. I stamped the sentiment using Cherry Cobbler ink, and hand cut it out before layering it with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto the strip of DSP to create the “stopper” for the luminary.

I stamped a couple of berries using Secret Sea ink onto a 3-5/8″ x 3-5/8″ piece of Basic White cardstock for the inside of the card, and it gave the perfect finishing touch. Once the tealight gets tucked inside the little “tent,” it looks absolutely amazing!

I love the rich colors that are featured in this product suite, and it was the perfect choice for this week’s “blue” theme. Don’t you think?? I hope you love it and will give this project a try, too!
