Pretty Poinsettia Panel Card

I made a beautiful card using the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set this past weekend, specifically for a Mystery Stamper challenge! I knew there were several strips of paper necessary, as well as 1 piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP), and this beautiful card is what I came up with. I absolutely love how it turned out!

The card base is made out of Real Red cardstock, measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and folded in half. I embossed the front of the card using the Softly Woven embossing folder, which I absolutely LOVE, and it gave so much texture to the card front. SWOON!!! I think this has been one of the most popular embossing folders we’ve had this season!

Layered onto that is a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 3-1/2″ x 3-3/4″, onto which I stamped the poinsettias using Real Red and Peaceful Pine inks. I heat embossed the centers of the flowers using Gold WOW embossing powder, which gave a perfect amount of glam to my project.

There is a small piece of Peaceful Pine DSP tucked behind the stamped focal point, and this piece measures 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. I love the accent and grounding that it gives to the focal point.

The Gold Foil strips are both 4-1/4″ long, and they are 2 different widths: 1/4″ and 1/2″. Don’t they add just the perfect touch across the front of the card??

The sentiment is also heat embossed with the gold embossing powder, onto a sentiment piece that measures 1-1/2″ x 2″. And the finishing touches were some ribbon and some Gold Dots…perfect!!
