Home for Christmas Floating Panel Card

I have a really fun technique for you today, using this bundle paired with the Home for Christmas Scrapbooking Workshop Kit. Our challenge for this episode was to use any leftover product from the kit, after having made all of the projects that are included in our tutorial for the upcoming Home for Christmas Retreat in a Box that we are offering. My card base is a piece of White Willow cardstock from the kit that I cut to measure 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, folded in half. I added a piece of the red polka-dotted Designer Series Paper (DSP) to both the front and the back, measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

We also recommend the bundle as an add-on, and I used the long, scallop die from the bundle to cut 2 strips of scallops to line the front of my card. I think it looks so cute!

I used a Window Sheet for the focal point of my card. It measured 3″ x 3″, and I pulled out the leftover stickers from the sticker sheet to put strips of cute designs onto the window sheet. After I had stuck them down, I used my largest Stylish Shapes circle die to cut out a circle, and it looks so cool to have the “floating” look of the stripes once you cut it out!

I layered this circle onto the card base, and added some twine and the “Jolly” sticker. There is still SO MUCH leftover in the kit, I could keep creating for hours! I hope you will plan to join us for the retreat…it’s a good one!!
