Home for Christmas Pocket Fold Out Card

I have the cutest fun fold card for you today, using the adorable Home for Christmas stamp set and dies by Stampin’ Up! I have paired it with the Creative Celebrations Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack, which I LOVE, and it uses non-traditional colors for Christmas. I think the pink totally puts it into a FUN category!!

I designed this card for Season 10, Episode 8 of the Great North American Stampin’ Show, and our theme for this week’s competition was to use the Home for Christmas stamp set. The card base is made from Crumb Cake cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I layered a piece of Basic White cardstock on top of that, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. The 2 strips of DSP on each end (the Hydrangea Hue polka dotted print) both measure 1″ x 4″.

Layered onto this postcard-sized card base is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that measures 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2″, 3-3/4″, 7-1/4″, and 9″. After burnishing the score lines, I glued this folded piece onto the card base. PLEASE CLICK HERE if you missed the video so that you can watch me put this together!

The other measurements of cardstock are:

Basic White: 1-7/8″ x 4-1/8″ (2 of these, 1 for each side)

DSP (pink plaid): 1-3/4″ x 4″

I cut some squares of cardstock to create the pockets, and cut them all at the same angle and glued them together. Again–if you missed the video, it’s helpful to watch it so you can see how it works. PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video. The largest square (Crumb Cake) is 2″ x 2″, the Basic White layer is 1-7/8″ x 1-7/8″, and the Hydrangea Hue layer is 1-3/4″ x 1-3/4″.

I die cut 2 of the Everyday Arches for the little tag (Real Red is the 4th smallest, Basic White is the 3rd smallest), and layered them up and punched a hole in the top. The sentiments are stamped in Real Red ink, and I used a Blending Brush to lightly blend some Pool Party in the background before layering the gingerbread men on top. They are stamped with Crumb Cake ink, and die cut out. SO CUTE!!
