Home for Christmas Candy Ornament

Are you looking for a cute item that you can make and give away this holiday season? I have a cute one for you today, using the Home for Christmas and Noel Tidings bundles! I demonstrated this project on today’s Episode 5 of the Great North American Stampin’ Show. PLEASE CLICK HERE if you missed it, because it helps you to see how to make it step by step!

First of all, I die cut out 3 of the largest Stylish Shapes circle dies. One from the gorgeous Winter Dreams Designer Series Paper (DSP), which is FABULOUS, and 2 from Basic White cardstock. As you can see in the video, I die cut out one of the circles using the landscape/tree die, which basically cut the circle in half. I glued this to the DSP circle.

Next, I used a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 4-1/2″ x 2″, and scored each long end at 1/2″. I cut “alligator teeth” along the entire edge of both sides, so that it curls well, and then glued the tabs down against the bottom of the circle. I know this doesn’t make much sense in writing…please watch the video to see it step-by-step!

Finally, I cut the last Stylish Shapes circle in half, at 1-1/2″, and layered this onto the front of the ornament, which then created a pocket for my Christmas candy! Isn’t it adorable?? I used Secret Sea & Cloud Cover inks to stamp on the front of the “pouch,” and added a few of the beautiful Adhesive Backed Snowflakes to add some bling.

I used the Advent Label Punch to add a hole in the top of my ornament, and threaded through the beautiful new Secret Sea & Gold ribbon, tying a White Twine bow to hold it in place.

After I finished my video for GNASS, I realized that I FORGOT one of my main things I wanted to add!! I stamped 2 of the cute little deer in Smoky Slate ink, die cut them out, and also die cut out one of the little houses. I added these to the front of the ornament. It changes the entire look, and it’s my favorite!
