Dreamy Snowflakes Faux Shaker Card

I have a gorgeous creation for you today, featuring the new Dreamy Snowflakes bundle! I created this card for my weekly Great North American Stampin’ Show episode this week, so PLEASE CLICK HERE if you missed it. This week’s theme was “The Sky is Falling,” and we made projects however we wanted to interpret that theme. I chose to use snowflakes, because…well…why not?? I absolutely LOVE this new bundle, and I was excited to be able to create something beautiful with it.

My card base is Basic White cardstock, folded in half, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Layered onto that is a piece of Cloud Cover cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. And finally, I featured the GORGEOUS new Designer Series Paper (DSP) called Winter Dreams for this card, and it is AMAZING!!! All of the white parts are raised…in person, it is stunning.

I used the Scalloped Christmas Cheer dies to cut out a window, and this piece measures 4″ x 5-1/4″. Using one of our clear envelopes, I put another piece of the DSP inside the envelope, and that piece measures 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″. I die cut out a ton of mini snowflakes for my “shaker” pieces, and I die cut these out of Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, Vellum, and Silver Foil. They didn’t quite “shake” around as much as I had hoped, but boy, do they look gorgeous!

I stamped the “band” across the front with Cloud Cover ink, and then layered on a gorgeous Silver Foil snowflake, the sentiment, and some beautiful ribbons. The finishing touch, which was one of my favorite parts, is the beautiful snowflake embellishments. WOW!! They’re soooo pretty and shimmery in person!
