Now that it’s January, I get to start designing projects with FLOWERS again! Yay!! I know it’s still a looooong time until Spring, but it gives me hope that sunshine and warmer weather are on the horizon. I need HOPE!! LOL
Today’s project is a sunny and bright floral card using the brand new Delightful Wishes stamp set, which is featured in the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog (going LIVE January 7!). I used the beautiful colors of Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lolly, and Old Olive for this fresh card.
PLEASE CLICK HERE to view the video where I made this card. You’ll see exactly how easy it really is!
I started out with a Lemon Lolly card base, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. I scored the card base at 5-1/2″ (in half), and then, from the score line, I cut off the card front at 2″. This left me a piece of leftover cardstock, which I also cut so that I had another 2″ x 4-1/4″ piece. The last little strip isn’t needed for this fun fold.
Next, I die cut one of the labels from the Greetings of the Season die set, which is full of awesome tags! I know it’s a Christmas set, but the tags will be so useful year-round. I stamped the flowers on it using both Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight inks, and then added some random leaves using Old Olive ink. I attached this tag onto the card base, using Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the tag is what really holds the front of the card together. You can see this clearly in the video (click here to watch!).
I tied a piece of the Frayed White Grosgrain Ribbon to the top of the tag, and then tied a cute bow with the Daffodil Delight 1/8″ Satin Ribbon (new in the new Mini Catalog!). I added one of the adorable new Tiny Bee Trinkets, using a Mini Glue Dot, which added the perfect touch!
I added a piece of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the card, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. I stamped the sentiment using Old Olive ink. The word “wishing” is one of the dies in the Delightful Wishes die set, and I die cut this out of both Old Olive and Basic White cardstocks. Doesn’t it look great??
