OK, if this card doesn’t make you smile, I don’t know what will! These little jalapenos, stamped all over the background, will make you smile for sure!! The Taco Fiesta stamp set is one of the million dollar stamp sets, inspired and created by Erica Cerwin. I love that we get to enjoy her fun creativity with this set! I hope it sticks around for a long time!
To make this card, start by stamping the jalapeno all over the Basic White cardstock with Black Memento ink. Be sure to stamp yourself an extra, so that you can add it on top as an accent. After stamping, pull out your gorgeous Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, and color the jalapenos however you’d like. I used the Real Red Blends for the jalapenos, and the Shaded Spruce Blends for both the stems and the “accent” jalapeno. If you use both the light and the dark markers, you can really give the veggies some depth and color variation! If you look closely, you’ll also be able to see that I used the Color Lifter to add some lighter accents to some of the jalapenos. It’s fun to play around with the Color Lifter and see how you can make shading and lighter areas on your images.
After you’ve finished coloring, be SURE to add the little mustache face onto one of the jalapenos!! It’s my favorite part of this card!!

The red and white twine is from the Fan Baker’s Twine combo pack, and I wrapped it around a piece of Basic Black cardstock. If you look really closely, you’ll see that I used the Stitched With Whimsy dies to make a neat border around the edge of this piece of cardstock! It adds a really fun element that is subtle, yet effective.
When I made this card, I decided it would be perfect for my husband’s Valentine’s Day card. But, you could also send it to your favorite friend who makes you laugh and always keeps you on your toes! Wouldn’t they smile when they opened up the envelope and saw this card inside?? The answer is unequivocally YES!!
Have fun creating with this adorable stamp set!
