Valentine Kisses Easel Card

I created an easel card today, using inspiration from pages 56-57 of Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Mini Catalog. I used the brand new Valentine Kisses stamp set, which is ADORABLE!! I hope this card gives you the spark you need to click ADD TO CART!! LOLOL!!

The card base is made from Crumb Cake cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, and folded in half. I stamped the little teddy bear from the Valentine Kisses stamp set all over the background of the card front, using Crumb Cake ink. Then, I folded the card front in half, so that it would form an “easel” layout.

Next, I stamped the adorable, big bear onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, which measured 2-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. This was layered onto a piece of Real Red cardstock, measuring 2-3/4″ x 4-1/2″. I colored in the bear using Pecan Pie and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends markers, and then added the sentiment and some little hearts using a Real Red stamp pad. Isn’t he CUTE????

I added the Red & White Baker’s Twine, wrapped three times, which gave the perfect accent.

The inside of the card has a matching Real Red sentiment, as well as those TINY LIPS!! Hello…that stamp is hysterical!!! I also stamped the little teddy bear onto a scrap piece of Basic White cardstock, colored him in with Stampin’ Blends, and die cut him out. I adhered him with a Stampin’ Dimensional, and added him in the bottom corner as a “stopper” for my easel card. If you watch the video, you’ll see the explanation of all of this!
