I love the versatility of Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series Paper (DSP). Each sheet is double-sided, so you get tons of choices of prints with each pack. For today’s card, I made a floral card…but the pack of paper is centered all around garden vegetables! You wouldn’t think that you could create such a cute, floral card from vegetable printed paper, right?
The To Market DSP pack is adorable. My husband and I are huge gardeners, and each year we plant a very large vegetable garden. When I saw this paper, I had to have it immediately. But, I decided that I needed to think outside of the box and create something that is not using the veggie images! So, here we are!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. I show you, step by step, exactly how I put it together.
The card base is made up of a new color this year, called Basic Beige. It’s such a beautiful neutral. It’s not ivory, it’s not white, it’s not tan…it’s just a very light beige. It’s amazing, and goes with everything!! This piece measures 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, folded in half.
Next, I layered on a piece of Basic White cardstock, measuring 3-3/4″ x 5″, that I embossed with the Dashing Designs 3D embossing folder. Dry embossing your cardstock gives the layers so much texture, I just love it! It completely changes up the look of the card when it has some texture.
I hand-cut out one of the bouquets of flowers from the To Market DSP pack, and tied some of our Linen Thread around the flower stems, tying it in a bow. I left the strings to hang really long, to give it a flowy, whimsical look. Then, I layered this floral bouquet on top of a Crumb Cake 2-3/8″ Circle Punched circle, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I layered this entire circle onto the card base, also using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment, from the coordinating Market Goodness stamp set, with Blackberry Bliss ink onto a Basic Beige strip measuring 1-3/8″ wide. I bannered both edges, and attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I die cut out a few of the tiny little flowers that are part of the coordinating Market Goodness die set, using Blackberry Bliss cardstock. I adhered these to the card using Liquid Glue, and then I added little Iridescent Pearl Basics to the flower centers. It added the sweetest little touch!
Linked below are all of the products I used to make this card. I hope you love this project as much as I do!
