Ready for some glitz and glam? This card definitely has it, along with the gorgeous florals that really make it pop. Have you ever used one of our large, detailed dies like this before? They make cardmaking SO easy!
I started off by cutting myself a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ Basic White card panel, and I laid it on top of the intricate die on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Normally, you lay the die with the cutting side down. But for these large, intricate dies, it’s best to lay them cutting side up, with the cardstock on top of the die. Then, you run it through the machine like normal, and it helps it have a better cut!

After you get rid of all of the sprinkles that are left behind, you’ll have this gorgeous floral background that you can use however you’d like. You can see how easy it is to make a beautiful card by just layering it directly on top of a differently-colored piece of cardstock, like I did here. However, I chose to step it up by using a glittery cardstock, so that you would see all of that sparkle through the holes! What do you think?
This shimmery, glittery cardstock is so beautiful. The pack comes with 5 different colors, and they are all fantastic! The glitter does not flake off of this paper, even when you cut it. This Berry Burst color was perfect for my card.
After layering up these pieces, I stamped my sentiment using the black Memento ink pad, and cut it out with one of the dies from the Sentimental Park die set. That die set has some beautiful dies that work well for sentiments!
Next, I pulled out my Bough punch and punched out several pieces of greenery, using different colors of green. I used the Soft Sea Foam for a light green, and the Garden Green for a darker contrast. And of course, adding in a touch of Vellum cardstock is always one of my favorites. I layered up the boughs and adhered them to the back of the sentiment, and then attached the sentiment onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Can you see the small bit of sparkle that I added at the end of my video? I pulled out our 1/8″ Metallic Woven Ribbon in Sweet Sorbet. Isn’t it cool how it totally goes with the Berry Burst shimmer paper? It added just the right amount of sparkle without adding actual gems.
Tell me what you think! I hope you love this beautiful card, and that you’ll try some of our large, intricate dies soon!
