I made a big stack of cards to swap with fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrators at my recent Stampin’ Up! convention in Raleigh, NC. It was a LOT of work to make so many cards, but it sure was fun to get lots of ideas swapped with other creatives! I have been sharing lots of the cards on Social Media, so hopefully you’ve seen some of the cute cards I received. I should do a blog post showing all of the cards!
Anyway, today I wanted to show you the card I made. I used the new Online Exclusive stamp set called Peekaboo Forest, and it’s ADORABLE! There’s a tree trunk image, with several different animals that you can use to peek out from the hole in the tree. The coordinating dies really make it so much fun to create with, and I hope you enjoy this cute little card!

My Crumb Cake card base measures 4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half. Next, I die cut out the second-largest “wonky” circle from the Around it All dies, and embossed it with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. I stamped the tree trunk image from the stamp set onto the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (DSP), so that it would truly look like a tree! I stamped it with Black Memento ink, and then die cut it out with the matching die.
I stamped the little bear image onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock, and colored him in with my Stampin’ Blends alcohol-based markers. I love how the matching die cuts out a little “notch” onto the bottom of the bear, so that it will tuck into the hole in the tree. I added him onto the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals, so that he would pop out a little bit! I also die cut out some little leaves to tuck underneath his paw, using Garden Green cardstock.

I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock, using Early Espresso ink. I added a little Linen Thread bow, which is the perfect “natural” touch.
Finally, I die cut off approximately 1″ off the front of the card, using the “grass” die, and added a 1″ strip of Garden Green cardstock to the card. I stamped the grass stamp several times onto this piece, to make it look like grass.

Isn’t it cute? I’m super excited to use this stamp set more, using all of the little critters!
