Made with Sweetness Paper Strip Card

Welcome to Season 8, Episode 1 of the Great North American Stampin’ Show!! Tonight aired the first episode of the season, and we were challenged to make a card using the leftover product that we had after making ALLLL the awesome projects for our upcoming, NEW “Simply Sweet Retreat in a Box”!

For this retreat, we use the Made with Sweetness Scrapbooking Workshop Kit by Stampin’ Up!, and it is AWESOME!!! Don’t sleep on these scrapbooking kits, friend! They are full of fantastic printed papers, two-toned cardstocks, and ephemera pieces, as well as stickers! There is so much in each package, you can make tons and tons of projects. And we didn’t even use it for scrapbooking!

I made this darling card using leftover pieces, and I love how it turned out! This product suite could not be any cuter.

I started out with Strawberry Slush cardstock for the card base, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. Layered onto that is a piece of the Misty Moonlight Two Tone cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. And then, layered onto that, there are 4 strips of 1″ x 5-3/8″ of Designer Series Paper (DSP), all different strips.

I laid the strips at different angles, to give the card front some interest. I also layered some of the stickers from the kit, as well as a couple of dies from the Filled with Sweetness die set. I added a bow, and then finished off the card by hand cutting out a few of the darling little jars of jam.
