How many ways can we use this adorable Easter Bunny stamp set?? I feel like I have so many ideas in my head, but am running out of time to make them all before Easter! I’m so glad that I discovered that this adorable stamp set and matching punch are being carried over into the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog…now I have lots of time to enjoy it to its fullest!
This card uses several different layers, but that doesn’t mean that it’s intense or hard to make. If you know me at all, you’ll discover that I do NOT like intense cardmaking. My cards are simple and cute, and this card here is about as detailed as I like to create. So, trust me when I say that you can do it even though it looks involved!
I used the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper as the background of this card, which has that perfect, Springlike Granny Apple Green print. It is so perfect for these Spring cards with the carrots, I have found myself reaching for it over and over again. It is layered on top of a Pale Papaya card base, which ties all of the colors in together as well.
I layer a piece of Basic White cardstock on top of the DSP, which is stamped all over with the carrots using Black Memento ink. I colored in the carrots with our gorgeous Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, and I even did a bit of shading on those carrots! I love how easy it is to make your coloring look professional, even if you are a complete novice like myself. I tell you, it’s the magic of our amazing Stampin’ Blends!!
If you watch the video I made where I showed how I created the card, you’ll see exactly how I came up with this Granny Apple Green frame and oval. Check it out and then you’ll understand how to find these pieces that fit together perfectly, using the Framed Florets dies.
Finally, I stamped this adorable bunny onto the oval piece, using the Black Memento ink pad. I colored him in with the Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends markers, and then “scribbled” over it with the Color Lifter. It is amazing how the Color Lifter kind-of “lifts” the gray color back off of the bunny, and leaves it looking really washed-out and fuzzy looking! Exactly the look I was trying to achieve.
Stamp yourself an extra carrot onto scratch paper, so that you can color it and cut it out to add to the bunny’s paws. I adhered mine with a Mini Dimensional, which gave the card some height and texture. And besides, this carrot is so stinkin’ adorable…
The final touch was using the Pale Papaya ⅜” Open Weave Ribbon. It picks up the orangey color of the carrots, plus it gives some shimmer to the card. A perfect finishing touch.
So, are you convinced yet that you need this adorable little bunny in your life? At least, in your stamping cupboard?? I’m so glad I got this set. I’m excited to keep creating with it, even after Easter and the Spring season are over! Let’s go!
