The new Pets & More stamp set, from Stampin’ Up!’s line of Online Exclusives, is adorable! It was just released at the beginning of March, and I am finally having a moment to play with it. There are several cute little animals in this set, and I think it is going to be a lot of fun to create with!
For this card, I created a really basic background using a repeated image of the little dog. When you repeat an image like this, it makes a very symmetrical look to the card, making it pleasing to the eye. I changed up the ink colors of the dogs, and then lined them up, and it makes a nice and even look to the layout of the card.
The card base is made of Crumb Cake cardstock, measuring 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and folded in half. Next, I layered on the largest rectangle die from the Scalloped Contours dies, cut out from Basic Black cardstock. This is one of my favorite layering die sets, and I am so sad it will be retiring in just a few short weeks! Grab it while you can!

Next, I stamped the three dogs in Black Memento ink, Early Espresso ink, and Crumb Cake ink. These are stamped onto Basic White cardstock strips, each measuring 1-7/16″ x 3-1/4″. I centered these onto the rectangle die, and they lined up so nicely!
I die cut out the smallest tag from the Tailored Tags dies, using Basic White cardstock, and stamped the sentiment onto it using Sweet Sorbet ink. This sentiment is from another new Online Exclusive set, which is called Comforting Thoughts. It is full of wonderful sentiments that will be great to use for occasions when you want someone to know you’re thinking of them during their hard time. It’s good to have a sentiment set like this on hand when you need it!
After stamping the sentiment, I stamped some of the paw prints onto the tag using Early Espresso ink. I did not stamp full-strength; I stamped off first onto scratch paper so that the paw prints would be a little lighter.
Finally, I added some embellishments. I tied a piece of Sweet Sorbet ribbon onto the tag, tying a bow using my favorite must-have: Linen Thread. And then I sprinkled on a few of the red Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs, which added the perfect touch!
I think I’ll need to make a spring bunny card using this layout later this week! It will be cute!!
