I know I’ve told you how much I love to make cards that are easy, yet beautiful! This card is definitely one of those creations, and I credit much of it to our gorgeous Designer Series Paper (DSP). I also credit this card design to our own Stampin’ Up! catalog! This card design is featured on page 6 of our Annual Catalog, and I just switched it up a little bit to show you how awesome it is to use our catalog for card design inspiration!
Stampin’ Up!’s in-house artists are incredible. They personally paint, photograph, and create all of our own, signature paper that you can’t find anywhere else. And, much of the time, our papers coordinate directly with our own stamp sets and dies! It’s incredible!
The “Hello, Irresistible” suite of products, which are some of our Online Exclusive products (not printed in any catalogs, but you can see the entire suite online), are so beautiful. The florals can be cut out with the coordinating dies, or even hand-cut if you don’t own the dies. I used the paper here for the focal background piece, and then I added on some of the flower and leaf dies to finish off the card.

I love how the Soft Sea Foam and the Pretty Peacock colors go together so well! It’s like they blend into one another on this background paper, don’t you think? I chose to use Pretty Peacock for my card base here, and it contrasts so well with the light, pastel color of the Soft Sea Foam.
I don’t have any special measurements for the diagonal cut here, I just eye-balled it and went for it! I figured, “how bad could it be?” And, it looks great! Sometimes you just have to go for it and hope for the best! Ha ha!
After layering on the DSP piece, I put a white strip above it so that I could stamp my sentiment there. The pink colors in this DSP are both Petal Pink and Calypso Coral, which also blend so beautifully together. I chose to use Petal Pink ink for my sentiment, but I know I could have just as easily used the Calypso Coral and it would have looked equally as wonderful.
After finishing off the card with the floral images, leaves, and sentiment (from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set), I added on some sequins to give it some sparkle. But, I couldn’t stop there! After I finished the video and was taking pictures, I decided I just “had” to add some Wink of Stella Glitter Pen to the flower for even more sparkle! I love it! I wish you could see how lovely it looks in the picture.
Finally, I grabbed one of my sponge daubers, and my Daffodil Delight ink pad, and sponged on a bit of yellow to the middle of the flower. It adds just the right touch!
You need to grab this suite of products from my online store and try it for yourself! I know you’ll love this DSP…it’s irresistible!
