Have you seen the cool new Frames & Flowers Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack yet? It’s awesome! Not only does it have several sheets of printed DSP, like usual, but it also has several sheets of images that can be punched out and glued to your card to make cardmaking quick and easy, yet gorgeous! You really have to check it out!!
PLEASE CLICK HERE to watch the video where I made this card. It’s an easy layout, but oh, so cute!!
I started out with a Pretty Peacock card base, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half. Next, I layered on a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock, measuring 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″. I used the Frames & Flowers DSP to make 3 strips to layer onto the Lost Lagoon cardstock, and you can see which prints I chose to use. Each of these strips measures 1″ x 4″.
I used 2 different Circle Punches for the sentiment, which was from the Poised Peony stamp set. It’s such a cute set!! Great images and great sentiments. I used Pretty Peacock ink on a 1-3/4″ Circle Punch, with Basic White cardstock. I layered this onto a 2″ Circle Punch from Lost Lagoon cardstock. Doesn’t it look great?!
I punched out a really cool “wreath” type image from the DSP pack, and layered that onto the 3 strips of DSP. Then, I cut off a long strip of twine from the Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack (Flirty Flamingo), and wrapped it around my fingers and stuck it to the back of the 2″ circle. You can see how I did that if you watch the video.
Finally, I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment to the card base, and I sprinkled on a few of the gorgeous, sparkly Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems. They have speckles of gold in them, which really make them shine!
I also punched out a couple of the little flowers and decorated the inside of the card. It really finishes it off well! You have to grab this paper pack…it’s so great!! It will make so many different projects, I can’t believe it. There are lots of examples in the Annual Catalog on page 29, showing lots of different projects you can copy.
