Easy, easy, easy cards!!! That’s my mantra!!! If you know me at all, you know that I LOVE making beautiful cards, but only if they’re simple and quick! Today’s card fits that description perfectly.

Today I featured the Floral & Gingham Vellum Designer Series Paper (DSP) pack by Stampin’ Up!, which I don’t think gets enough credit for its beauty! It is vellum paper, which is see-through paper, plus it is printed on top with colored flowers. There is also a blue gingham print sheet in the pack, which is equally fabulous.
I started with a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock, measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″, folded in half. Layered on top of that is a piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock, measuring 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″. And then finally, layered on top of that is a piece of the printed vellum paper, measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. It’s already a gorgeous card!
I punched out a 2″ Circle Punch of Lemon Lolly cardstock, and layered a 1-3/4″ Basic White circle punch on top of that. PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO where I made this card, and you can see how I stamped onto this circle. I stamped one of the butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set, using Lemon Lolly ink that was stamped-off first. Then, I stamped the “hello” sentiment on top of that, using Basic Gray ink.

I pulled out my Three-Color Baker’s Twine Pack, which has some Pool Party twine in it, and wrapped it around the front of the card several times and tied a knot. I adhered the circle sentiment right over the knot, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, I die cut out 3 butterflies from the Beautiful Butterflies die set, using Basic White cardstock, and sprinkled them onto the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals. I finished off the card by adding Iridescent Pearls, which were the perfect touch.

Making simple, yet beautiful, cards is the BEST! I hope you give this simple layout a try, no matter which DSP you end up pulling out!
